Franco-TaischFranco Taisch is entrepreneur and member of various boards of directors mainly in the finance, medical and technology industry. He is, i.p., chairman of Swiss Rock Asset Management Ltd. and the Healthbank Group, member of the board of directors and member of the risk and audit committee of the Raiffeisen Group and member of the board of directors of Clinica Alpina Ltd. Alongside, he focuses as business advisor and as part-time university professor on business model and governance design and the entrepreneurial handling of opportunities and risks. Prior to that, Franco Taisch was over 20 years active in various executive and consulting functions, last as member of the executive board of the Julius Baer Group.


 

Leadership and Executive Competence

Over 25 years of experience as an executive, member of executive boards and chairman as well as member of boards of directors on the level of global quoted (Switzerland/UK) and non-quoted blue chip companies as well as on the level of domestic and foreign small and mid-sized companies, mainly in the financial, medical and technology industry, last operational responsibility as member of the executive board of the Julius Baer Group, one of the largest independent global wealth manager.

Core tasks were and core competences are

  • to design and take responsibility for business and governance models and the respective implementation;
  • to design and take responsibility for the company strategy, planning and the respective implementation;
  • to design and take responsibility for the financial steering of the company as well as investment decisions on company level;
  • to steer and ensure corporate governance and compliance with the legal and regulatory business environment, efficient and effective risk management (incl. legal-regulatory and technical compliance as well as legal management) as well as efficient and effective external and internal control systems (incl. audit) on the strategic as well as on the operational level;
  • to digitize existing business models and to design digital business platforms connecting specific eco-systems;
  • to (co-)lead several operational front business lines;
  • to lead people, regularly over 100 professionals with different cultural backgrounds worldwide.

Today, Franco Taisch is entrepreneur and member of various boards of directors. He is, i.p., chairman of Swiss Rock Asset Management Ltd., an international Swiss asset manager with CHF 4 billion AuM, and chairman and founding partner of the healthank group, a global health data platform; member of the board of directors and member of the audit and risk committee of the Raiffeisen Group, the third largest and system relevant banking group in Switzerland, and member of the board of directors and founding partner of Clinica Alpina SA, one of the state-of-the-art holistic veterinarian clinics in Europe; and CEO of the Cooperative Businesses Association, representing 12% of the Swiss GDP.


 

Professional Competence

Over 25 years of experience inside (as an executive) and outside (as a consultant and attorney) of domestic and foreign companies at the interface between business leadership, technology and law.

Over 25 years of experience as lecturer at the interface of science and industry for business, economics and law students at Swiss universities and as visiting professor at universities abroad.

Core tasks were and core competences are business leadership, governance, strategy and finance; design of business and governance models; technology and digitization; risk management (incl. compliance and legal management) and external and internal control systems (incl. audit); corporate as well as network and cooperative business models; financial markets and financial market infrastructures like exchanges, investment banking, retail banking, asset management, collective investment schemes, private banking, family offices and insurances; health care eco-systems with regard to the human as well as veterinarian medicine; national and international contract design, risk management of contracts and merger & acquisition; this, in particular, with the view to and in connection with

  • companies and their stakeholders as well as their business environment, i.p., the respective company-specific business environment and the area of conflict of different stakeholder interests;
  • companies as process-oriented value chains and corporate management functions as cross-sectional functions;
  • companies with individual business models going through specific business live cycles and the respective changing impact on the requirements for corporate management functions;
